Top Moments of 2014: CollegeFashionista

Another 365 days have come and gone. It's exciting to be able to live in a futuristic sounding year; I mean come on, 2015?! But since it is only the first week of the new year, I would like to flashback to 2014 to remember my top moments on CollegeFashionista. Yes, this is the fashion haven where I have been spending most of my blogging time and have not been able to infuse some TLC into Fashion Geekly since this time last year. Now, the two can reconcile with each other and make the perfect fashion blog pairing. Personal style blog alter ego meet my style stalking Style Guru alter ego with my best Moments of 2014.

365: A Year In Review

It does not seem like we are already in the year 2014, but here we are! 2013 was an amazing year and many significant opportunities arose like my Style Guru position with CollegeFashionista. Luckily, I documented my year long journey through photos that I posted on Instagram. Check out my Flipagram video of 213 (to commemorate the year) of the 365 photos I took in 2013! (P.S. You have to click on the Flipagram link because Blogger will not allow me to upload the video.)

The je ne sais quoi of Noël

Bonjour Fashionistas and Fashionistos! It has been a while since I have last created a post, but this is what the "thrills" of college does to you. Also, writing for CollegeFashionista was a great opportunity that I had to put the posting on hold for. Now, it's Christmas and I am back. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, besides my birthday, because of all the pomp and circumstance that goes into making it an event. (Don't forget the wonderful meaning of CHRISTmas and the wonderful gift of Jesus!) As I was examining the presents under the tree, it hit me that Christmas has such a fashion edge which may be my true obsession with the holiday. Patterns of gift wrap, beautiful ornaments, and Christmas decorations are elements of the Christmas outfit and show that is there is a subtle connection between fashion and Christmas. Check out a little detail of photos below to see my capture of the Christmas fashion connection.

Á la Maison: My New Dorm

I just recently moved into my sophomore year dorm! I'm so excited to begin this new year continuing to find myself and define my place in the world. Over the summer, I was scouring Pinterest (home tours on Glitter Guide also helped too!)  to find the perfect inspiration for this year's dorm. Gallery walls, christmas lights, and DIY instagram hearts were my absolute favorites amongst all the things I found. So I decided to infuse all the ideas I found into one little tiny space. Although it's not quite finished, here is the outcome!

And here is a little peak at my roommate's cutesy side of the room!

I'm selling on Society6!

Hello fellow fashionista/os!  I have posted my first art piece on Society6--an online database for selling and buying artwork in different formats--and am officially a verified seller! So I am using this post to promote my first art print. I will be posting more and more of the photographs that I have taken over the years to be available for purchase. Thanks for the love and support.

Á la Maison Monday: Prints and Pins

As you all may know, I am trying to put a little organization into my blog. On Friday, I introduced Fashion Films featuring style blogger Mattieologie. Today will be the premiere of Maison/Chez Moi Mondays; maison is french for home and chez moi is french for my home. For my first post I decided to do a DIY project for my new dorm room that I will be moving into in a few weeks! I've been so obsessed with prints and whimsical clothespin DIY projects. Here is my interpretation of my latest obsession.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR PRINTS:

 1. Plain cardstock paper from any craft store or wholesale store

 2. Any kind of paint and paintbrushes (I used finger paint and watercolors)

 3. Creative ideas!

WHAT YOU NEED FOR CLOTHESPINS:

1. Clothespins (I bought my clothespins from Michael's)

2. Pretty colors (recycle paint from prints)

3. Creative Designs

Here's a few images of me doing the crafts

Fashion Film Friday

Like any fashion geek out there, a million things are constantly inspiring me. So i've decided to hone in my creatively scrambled mind into organized sub topics of blog posts. I've decided to theme all of my posts days. Today will be the premiere of Fashion Films Friday. In this series I will be uploading fashion vids that inspire my fashionista spirit. One of my favorite local bloggers, Mattie from Mattieologie, put herself to the ultimate challenge: 1 dress 29 different ways. Watch her conquer this style feat in her amazing video.
