The British music scene's new It Girl, Ellie Goulding, has decided to spread her musical talent over to American audiences with the release of her new album, Lights. The album has a quirky, fun vibe with a mix of electropop and folk. The easy going beats and feel-good-on-a-summer-day tone disguise the lyrics' true meanig of love lost and heartache. Goulding claims her influences for the album came from Beyonce and Lauryn Hill, but its seems more like the fun vibes of fellow Brit V.V. Brown, the awesome rythms of Owl City, and the airy lyrics of Florence + the Machine. Keep your ears out for this rising singer/songwriter.
